Birmingham Forward - an independent, not-for-profit, membership and lobbying organisation. Its vision is to make Birmingham the city of choice for business and professional services which it does through lobbying on key issues surrounding transport and infrastructure, informative events designed to develop members' skills and supporting Birmingham as a city to secure inward investment.
Birmingham Future - the sister organisation to Birmingham Forward. Birmingham Future aims to make Birmingham the city of choice for business and professional services by nurturing the city leaders of the future. It does this through skills development workshops, networking events, informative sessions on key issues for the city and the flagship Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards.
The Civic Society - a company and charity which seeks to make Birmingham an attractive city in which to live and work. It does this through promoting high standards of planning and architecture, securing the preservation and protection of areas of historic or public interest, and promoting the concept of active citizenship within schools and the wider community.
Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) - the trade association representing the voice of UK public relations. There are more than 160 member companies representing 70% of fee income for the PR industry in the UK and employing over 5,000 PR professionals. All PRCA members are required to hold the Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) - which combines elements of ISO9001, Investors in People and criteria specific to a PR consultancy.
Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) - the largest public relations institute in Europe which represents over 9,000 individual members. The CIPR exists to set the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the industry and does this through qualifications, events and training, a code of conduct, lobbying, research, policy and guidance.
