Recession is a time when every company needs PR
Read Account Executive Aimee Postle's thoughts in today's Birmingham Post:
Let’s start with the oft quoted (in the PR world anyway) maxim from a certain Bill Gates (who may know a thing or two about marketing). Mr Microsoft is reported to have said: “If I were down to my last dollar I would spend it on PR.”
Food for thought in this time of belt-tightening, job losses, cut-backs and profit warnings.
The dreaded ‘R’ word looms – that’s recession to you or me – and history shows us that expendable functions, such as marketing, are often the first to be cut.
Here in the Midlands we have a thriving creative industry with a variety of firms working across all advertising, marketing, digital communications and public relations disciplines.
And, from what we’ve seen, companies in the region have taken note from Bill.
