Admires most
Isaac Newton – father of alchemy, physics and falling apples. His three laws of motion dominated scientific thought for decades after his death. Although I’m no great physician, his laws have always fascinated me and helped make sense of this complex world we live in. Through it all, he still kept a dignified sense of modesty; “if I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

Music, long conversations, late breakfasts and good company – preferably in that order.

Either the Shawshank Redemption or a low budget British film from the late 90s called ‘Shooting Fish’.

At the moment I’m listening to ‘Stellar’ by Incubus, ‘Caroline’ by John Butler Trio and old Beatles numbers.
Favourite invention
Its somewhere between the bicycle, wireless communication and the biro – for the freedom and creativity they give.
